I am quite literally obsessed with food.
What I have always loved about cooking is its creative freedom - you can take risks and play around. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - the consequences are never that bad. I love the layering of ideas, the discovery of flavours, and to be honest, the immediacy of which you can make something from nothing quite beautiful.
I guess my food philosophy is all about eating seasonally & shopping locally. You could say I have an aversion to beige, but really I just like to keep things fresh, healthy & colourful. I believe you don't need a ton of fancy ingredients to make recipes feel new, with a little care and a couple of twists, the simplest food can be exciting.
Yes, challenging yourself with a hard recipe brings a sense of achievement but really, I’m just here for throwing ingredients together and making something that looks, and tastes - delicious.
